WOW what a beautiful day to be on the water! I met Jason at CFP at about 1:30 and we headed toward HB to fish some areas we thought would hold fish right now. First couple areas we had no luck in so we fished a flat that was covered in gulls and Jason doubled up on the TN rig emoEek That was the first time I've ever seen that it was very cool. Both fish were maybe 4.5 so theres nine lbs in the boat! Nothing else there so we moved around more including the islands which we zeroed in. I cant believe how low the water is two thirds of the islands are out of water. One of our last stops we made I pitched a jig by some wood cover and got a hard hit, set the hook and had a HUGE one. The fish rolled and made a big wake and headed back down. emoDance Turns out it was a big drum emoBang Little bit further in on a point with scattered stumps I get another hard hit and this time it was a BASS emoSun Another one around 4.5 so we had a good 3 fish limit of 13.5 to 14 lbs. Awesome weather Jason forgot a hat so his bald head is probably screaming today emoPoke Water temps from 58 to 61 clear skies and visibility and water clarity was greatly improved. We fished jigs, traps, spinnerbaits, and the rig. Fish were caught in less than 8 FOW. Took a pic on Jason's phone so maybe he can post later.
