Nice fish! I bet they put up a great fight! Just out of curiosity, do you have any pics or a recipe of your soft hackle glo bug? It sounds like an interesting combination, and I've still never caught one on a fly...
Any other advice for fly selection?
Thanks!

Sure, here is material
[Image: IMG_4290.jpg]

Tie in Chenille and figure 8 it to build up a ball. Wrap tightly:

Tie in the feather and wrap two or three times

I fish this off a floating line with a 9 foot leader. I have tied this in Red, Orange, Chartreuse, but yellow is the constant.
I have caught them on other flies including Elk Hair Caddis, but nothing like this corn ball.

WOW! what a prompt and thorough response! Thanks for the tutorial!

Sooo... do you strip it in or just let it sit in front of them? .............put corn on it? [blush] [laugh].....

All natural..[laugh] If I can see the carp, I place it right in front of them and twitch. If I can't see the carp which believe it or not, is 90% of the time, I cast it out, count to 5 and very slow steady retrieve. Sometimes, I turn to the side, pulling it. Feel any resistance, Bill Dance it literally.
