Finally, A Stoppage to Downriver Fishing - Huntsman - 04-22-2012 Wash and Oregon fishery managers finally agreed to wait to see how the spring chinook run materializes until they let more Idaho fish be taken. "Oregon and Washington fishery managers met Monday and opted to forestall further commercial fishing activity on the lower Columbia (the 146 miles from Bonneville Dam down to the river mouth). And during a Thursday session they decided not to extend again the lower river sport fishery beyond this coming weekend. The fishing season had been scheduled to end April 7 but was stretched to the 13th and last week managers decided to add on another 10 days to allow fishing through this coming weekend with a closure set Monday." This is good to see just as fish numbers begin to show promise... [signature] Re: [Huntsman] Finally, A Stoppage to Downriver Fishing - Divin-Demon - 04-22-2012 That's great.
