What a surprise. There are places in Idaho where you cannot lift Sturgeon out of the water, so you really don't get the impact. I have a picture of my Gramps and a 7'er he caught on 12 lb. Not as exciting as the sturgeon or the pacu, but was still awesome. If my buddy wouldnt have been there i probably couldnt of landed this.My small reel couldnt budge this thing from the bottom. my bud had too grab my line and kinda of force him my way as i reeled in the slack. Kind of felt like i was hung up until i felt it give way then it dug in again. I was using 30 lbs power-pro with a 5 foot light action ugly and a abu garcia cardinal reel. In the second pic you can still see my carolina leader and 2 oz sinker.Catch and Release!!!
