where should i take a women 1st timer - Thungar - 05-15-2012

Hello my name is Brayden I am from the farmington area of utah I am a catch and release fisher. I have been fishing here ever since I can remember. I have a good friend of mine who wants to get into fishing. I really want to show her how much fun it can be. Idk if anyone is up to sharing where the good shore fishing is but any help would be cool. I would like to take her somewhere were she can pull up lots of bluegill or trout!

Go up to the uintah's and fish some of the lakes right off the highway. The scenery is enough to hook anyone to fishing.

I would use a olive wolly bugger under a clear bobber for catch & release. This rig is cheap.

You could try Trial Lake right off the mirror lake highway.

Take a coat it is chilly.

Mantua lake should be good for blue gill fishing because usually they start spawning when it warms up and usually bluegills start spawing in may depends how warm it is. Its like a 1 hr drive from farmington.

Smith & Moorehouse is a beautiful place and my family always gets into a lot of fish there, nothing of monster size but plenty of action. Plus there is a stream and some good hiking if the lake fishing is slow. Good luck!
