fishing help needed - russrandall - 06-14-2012

Hey, so I recently started fishing again and I need to replace my rod and spinning reel. I was wondering of some good ones to use for under 100$ I was thinking a pflueger reel with maybe a Shimano or ugly stick rod. Also I am from Utah and catch mostly catfish, trout, bass and a few other fish. Also maybe some good fishing holes around Provo area. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

It has been a while since I bought a new reel but the last one I bought was a Aba Garcia, how ever it is spelled[:/]. I like Ugly Sticks but Shimano makes a good rod as well.
Utah Lake has a lot fishing holes for cats and bass and Deer Creek is good for trout, of course the Provo river is your best bet.

A half way decent shimano rod and reel will go for about $200. If the budget is tight look to the combos at Bass Pro or Cabelas.
