Watts, Nick-A-Jack, Bass, 6-10-12 - FishNews - 06-16-2012 Half report Half question.

The fishing report part: Went fishing on Sunday from 6:00PM to 9:30PM in the rain on Nick-A-Jack. Went to all of the places that I like in the summer (river ledges) with very little to show from it. One bass about three pound and one very small spotted bass about 12 inches and thin. At that time it was 8:00PM and I was ready to go to the house. Decided to try shallow with a buzz bait and it paid off with my best five fish around 15 pounds in one hour and thirty minutes.
The question part: All I have been hearing is that everyone has been catching there fish deep some fish really deep. And on Sunday I catch them really shallow do you think these fish are moving from the “ledges†to the shallows in one day just because of an all day rain? Or are these fish staying shallow and I so happened to catch them while they were feeding? Two more thoughts I can see the fish moving shallow but I just wonder if these fish are staying shallow due to their color. They were dark green to almost black (on the buzz bait) and when you catch them out deep they seems to be a lighter color. So does that mean that the fish in less than a day move from deep to shallow (over 400+ yards away) and change color in less than 24 hours? Tell me your thoughts……..
|
