7/21 CJ Strike top water - fish-o-holic - 07-21-2012
I havent left for my fishing trip yet. I am still at work. I hope to leave work before 3AM. My buddy is picking me up at 4:45AM. Hopefully it wont be too windy and we get some topwater action. Wish me luck. Follow-up post with picts to come.

Went to sleep at 2:50 left the house at 4:45 with hardly any sleep. Kinda windy for topwater but my buddy caught about 10 and i caught 4 top water. none very big. went to start crackin and did pretty good. I threw a jig and caught most on the jig. we kept a total count on the day. My buddy caught 33 and i caught 72. Not bad a 100+ fish by 1000. Mayby 10 over 12 inches. Wind picked up and died back down. headin out in a bit for some perch and playin in the water on my boat with the kidz.
carp tourney out there now and a bass tourney. the lake is full today.

I tried to head back out about 1 with the fam and the fam was slow to get ready. I should have took a nap but did not. we headed back out and got to the lake about 330. i fished for about 30 minutes and caught 3 good perch and hooked into two more and lost them by the boat. we had a 7 people and three dogs on the boat it was a full boat and noone fished but me. so we played on the lake the rest of the night. Kids had a blast but i wanted to fish more but i was trying to be a good dad and boat host. I will wish another day.
