Launching a toon at PV - fishgiver - 08-16-2012

I have asked other members before but, with the water dropping so fast, does anyone have a RECENT report as to a EASY launch point for a toon? I am trying to convince my friends that we try PV but launch access is a factor.
Thanks!

I always launched at the free access point right at the entrance to the narrows. Others launch at Browning Point. You can also launch at the public beach areas on the east side. All of them will require a short walk down to the receding waterline, of course.

I think I gave you some info a liitle while back if im not mistaken..

yes the water is geting low and most free accsess involves a long at times but if you have a group going just help each other carry your toons.

I have been launching from Browing point lately.. but most times I use the place near the narrows like Rocky mentioned. The parking lot is close to the water even with it being low. The only bad part is you have to go down a hill but it has steps cut into it so that helps. Its easy to find.. Go up Ogden canyon..turn left over the spillway. Go about a mile of two and there is a parking lot on the right side. You can't miss it. Let me know when your going and mabe ill join you.

RockyRaab.. Thanks again for the Fish finder. You are awesome!! I haven't tryed it out yet but plan to this weekend.

Also wanted to say that if your going with a group then just launch from one of the ramps. Its $12 so for one person and a toon its a little too much $$$ but with 2 or 3 people just spit it and use the boat ramp. Can't get any easier then that.

yep per vehicle actually, which I think is rediculous. You pay the same whether you have a boat or not. Even with a boat I find it too high. But they raise it and we all foolishly still pay. Until they lose enough costumers to high prices they have no reason to lower them

If you go in with 2 jet skies behind one truck/car it's $24; 3 jet skies behind one vehicle - you got it - $36. Pontoons are considered a vessel so its $12 per even when all are on one trailer behind one truck. And if you just want to park with no vessel, its still $12. There is no way to beat this launch system that I'm aware of other than using the free points of entry mentioned above. It really, really, REALLY sucks big time.[/#800000]

ouch I didn't know it scales! I added vehicle cause I just didn't want anyone thinking it's only trailers/ boats and take a car with a pontoon on the roof or deflated in the back and be suprised to pay. Thanks for the info though. That is rediculous

I really like launching at those beaches on the east side that are just off the main road. Launch my motorized raft there many times, and at no cost.
