Re: Got Milk? - ssor - 03-09-2002 Dave, This works well for the surf fisher if you substitute the sled with a wagon. If they have a big load of gear they might want to use wide tires to travel through the sand with ease.(honk, honk)

Texas gulf cost fisher. Re: Friendly Lake People - ssor - 03-20-2002 <" }}^ >< Ice Fishing Tip #42a

Thanks ssor for posting this tip [ ![]() Re: Ice Fishing Tip of the Day - davetclown - 03-24-2002 <" }}^ >< Ice Fishing Tip #45
Changing the line on your reel?

Credited to ssor

Changing the line on your spinning reel, doses not have to be a difficult task if you remember just a few things:
· Take all the old line off.
· Different pound test will have a major factor on the amount of footage that you can put on your reel. The heaver the test equals less footage you will be able to put on. (Lets be reasonable you don’t have to have two hundred yards of line when you are only fishing 20-feet down)
· Never fill the spool with line above one sixteenth below the rim of the spool
· Keeping light tension on your line as you are reeling it on will provide a uniform loading.
· Take the line straight of spool (don’t lay the spool on its side, this will only twist the line that will cause snarls in the near future). Let the kids help by putting a pencil through the center hole of the spool and have them hold on to the pencil. (Take caution to reel the line on slowly, there is no hurry, the young ones will love the opportunity to help, they are all loving and all trusting.)
· There is a table top straight line and a easy spool dispenser that is available to aid you in keeping your lines straight. The Bass Pro Shop has both.

http://myweb.ecomplanet.com/MESS6438/
Lookie See what the kids are up to.
Dave T.
