Huntington ice report - CBR - 11-19-2012
Anyone know how the ice making is going up at Huntington Reservoir in Fairview Canyon? I've ice fished it for the last 7 years the day after thanksgiving and the temps aren't quite as cold as previous years.

I just got a report that Huntington is 2/3rds of the way capped. I have fished it when It ws only 1/4th capped and had a good 4 inches of ice but with this last snow storm I am concerned with the conditions of the ice.

yeah but that report allso said the ice is crap stting on the lake melting for the last 4 days! lol [angelic]..
i would not walk on that ice on any of the lakes up there tell we get a cold snap to harden the ice some right now it's soft and none too safe.. [shocked]

the last 3 days the temp's up there have been running in the upper 30's even at night.. makes for crappy ice!! [crazy]

Definately not going to be heading up that way this Turkey day break. Time for a plan B.
Any ice in Utah at all that is safe? Maybe in the Uintas?
