anglers dying to go ice fishing in michigan - davetclown - 01-02-2013
we have had our lakes covered with ice now for two weeks, still we have only 2 inches of ice.
there are reports from anglers falling though the ice from all over the state.
two reports yesterday, two on the same lake in waterford both rescued, one on a lake in Holly who did not servive. One on my lake that did not make the reports this past saturday, he only got a foot off shore, but that first step was a doozy, 4 foot streight down.
if you are going out, at the vary least wear a life jacket...
and remember that all lakes are not the same, know your lake before you go out or go with someone who dose.

two more anglers passed on cranbary lake this past fryday.
Ice is still treturous to be on. even tho the lakes have been covered for two weeks dose not mean we have any quality ice to speak of.
more than a dozen orv's have gone though the ice this past weekend in my county alone...
