Do they keep the road plowed to strawberry bay marina? Wondering if I can get my car down there.

Yes they do. The road gets snow packed and can be slick at times. Most times I would dare take a car but there have been other times where it's too slick. They plow the road with a road grader and it is time consuming so if you go on a day where there a lot of snow coming down you may be there a while.

I wouldn't do it unless you have snow tires. A few years ago, I followed behind a car that however slow they drove they couldn't drive slow enough to keep from bouncing off of the snow banks on either side of the road. They did considerable fender-bender damage to their vehicle.

I have a 2 wheel drive Ford Ranger and just pull over right off the highway or at the Pay Booth and cable up. It takes 6 to 10 minutes to put them on and 2 to 5 minutes to take them off and you can drive anywhere it's icy or snow packed with no problems.

I've yanked at least 1/2 dozen cars out of snow banks with my truck over the years. It is a good idea to have a chain or tow strap.

Snow drifts on the marina road can be horrible if it is a windy day. Look at the weather forecast if it calls for wind, I would not drive a car down that road. The drifts can be hard to get through in a 4x4 with high ground clearance, I have been stuck on that road before. Getting stuck sure puts a damper on the fishing for the day

Same thing here - two wheel ranger...not fun! But I did make it and worth the stress. Wouldn't do it again w/o chains.
