No good here either... the weather is eratic and the bass are up shallow last week then this week 10 feet deep..
Never seen them doing this.
Might be a tough year for us all.

About measuring the Bass,is it ok to leave its mouth at a natural resting postion or should we be closing its mouth?
We got a nice one,with mouth open at a natural postion was 22" and if I closed its mouth 21"
Bass was laying on its side while measuring
the fish was 4.1/2lb but my buddy asked me how long "his" fish was so I said close to 22" haha

I don't think we care if the mouth is open or not. Just make sure we can read the ruler used. Don't do like I did last year.

As far as the law goes, most freshwater fish are measured total length from the tip of the snout with the mouth closed to the end of the pinched tail. It's hard to take a picture like that if your by yourself so like said, more important to have a legible ruler measurement

First on the board for the 18" + zone. Got lucky at Valentine's Pond on Valentines day. It is right on the mark at 18" with mouth and tail closed.

Are you competing Byte for this years Bass challenge,if so you should get Bassslammer in as well,I'm not sure if your just going for the monthly prise or the yearly?You already competed last year and not eligible for this years challenge according to the rules,if you are competing let me know so I can tell Bassslammer ,its not fair you're in the challenge and he's not,respect!
Let me know so I can figure out wat the heck your doing in this years Bass challenge since like I said,you can't compete two years in a row!
