Some Weber trips! - SatanLBZ801 - 02-17-2013 The Weber is fishing good right now. With the weather today, it was looking like the Provo though... [] Went to a usual spot only to find 3 other cars beating me to the punch. Met Rexfly, sorry for kinda leaving ya. I was a missionl to go hunt for some monsters, which meant going down the river a few miles. Wasn't trying to be rude. I had to walk down river about 1.5 miles to even find a spot that wasn't surrounded by people. I did mange to pick up a few fish in between a few people though. I wouldn't say the browns are really going after streamers yet but, I did catch a quite a few fish today. They were far and few between though. I could've had a 50+ fish day today if I was fishing nymphs. Was getting sick of the typical 12-14" brown or whitefish though. On the way back to the truck, I did flip over to nymphs and started smacking the living crap out of the whitefish though! It was none stop for the last hour. Also picked up a freaking mammoth of a sucker! It was a snag at first.... Then slowly started moving upstream. FISH ONNN!!!!! It took some time to get that baby off the bottom of the river, but she eventually came to the net and posed for some pictures. It was then, back to the bottom of the river. After that, I had to lead a lost pup back to it's owner! It was definitely an off day! Catching a little bit of everything! Even caught quite the sunburn! Man the weather was PERFECT today! I was going to head out to the Weber this morning, when I backed out of the garage I seen a small puddle of oil under my truck [mad] Lucky it was just a worn gasket but the shop took all day to repair. Sat in the shop thinking what a beautiful day I wish I was fishing [] Just out of curiosity what section were you at ? Not looking for you honey hole just want to avoid the crowds. We had a great day too. A gray sowbug was the ticket. Very light bite but lots of browns which is kinda funny cause we were targeting the whitefish to take some home. Only managed to land one whitie. Had a couple others get away. We never left the hole by the big tree fishing was so good. My 14 year old son got his first brown on a fly and we landed 7 in the short time we were there. 2 nice browns and the rest under 12". [signature]
