WTNH) -- Fishing enthusiasts are getting ready for the opening day of fishing season and so is the state. Crews from DEEP are going to be busy over the next few weeks stocking the state's fishing holes with trout.
Get ready to cast your lines. Hhatchery trucks are out and about spreading more than good will. They've got lots of Rainbow and Brown Trout on board.
"We produce annually about anywhere from 650 to 750 thousand trout that we put out each year," said Chris McDowell, Fisheries Biologist.
