I got trapped in quick sand today, and it happend faster than I could react. It started ankle deep and before I knew it I was thigh deep. I managed to wiggle my way out some how lucky I didnt sink any further because a couple more inches and my waders would have filled. So to all you waders be careful out there there is quick sand in the portneuf first ive ever found. If its there it is probably other places to. Be careful out there.

if this ever happens to you again and you feel like you can't get out lay down on your stomach and army crawl while you kick your legs.

Some of that deep silt is pretty nasty! Glad you got out ok.
