Was thinking of taking my pontoon to CJ tomorrow. Are there crappie around or would it be a waste of gas?

I don't know about from a boat but I have been able to pull in a few decent sized crappie from the bank above the damn in the past few weeks.

I Am Thinking It Might Be Too Early. Fished All Day From The Boat, Tried The Narrows No Crappie, We Did Get Our Limits Of Bass But Had To Work Hard For Them. My Water Temp Was 52 Degrees. Dont Know For Sure If That Was Right.

Went today, caught jumbo perch in main lake, no crappie in narrows and lots of squawfish in narrows.
