Once and a life time experience - TyeDyeTwins - 06-01-2013 Last memorial day weekend I had a fish trip that was a once and a life time experience. I arrived at Millcreek Canyon at 5:30am to reserve my spot. I decided to start the day with the best meditation there is...... ![]() As I was catching this brown trout I totally forgot all about the stress of the 8 hour black belt test coming up that has been 10 years in the making. ![]() I was going to eat the little guy but go figure my stomach was knotted up. Then came the forums................... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Dojo family (father, daughter, and son in law) ![]() And for your viewing pleasure the combat at the end. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() [signature] Re: [TyeDyeTwins] Once and a life time experience - BridgerM - 06-01-2013 So you caught one small fish and some family beat you up. That sucks man. Sometimes the skunk isn't so bad. J/k. You don't mention that you passed the test, but i assume you did. Congrats! Nice looking fish too. The kick to the head really rung my bell. I did have a nice cuncussion to deal with after that but at least I got back in there and tried to get him back. I did pass the test and tonight the master is going to present my rank to me after he punches me in the stomach as hard as he can.[shocked] [signature] Re: [TyeDyeTwins] Once and a life time experience - Erawk - 06-01-2013 Nice work, TDT. ![]() [signature] Re: [TyeDyeTwins] Once and a life time experience - cpierce - 06-01-2013 Congratulations! I have been teaching and taking martial arts for 10 years. I plan on doing it for the rest of my life! At first I just wanted to learn to defend myself, later it bled into every aspect of my life. Now I cannot see myself being the person I am today without it.
