backlasher, Chick, Bass, Leech, 6-12-13, Buddy from work - FishNews - 06-13-2013 First fishing report so have mercy. Went to The Chick today with my friend from work. Hit the lake right around 5 and cooked for a while but the breeze helped. Fishing for bass using Senkos and shallow crankbaits. Caught a few small ones on the cranks (including a Bluegill LOL) but the Senko was the go to as it got later. I totaled 11 bass, including a few 3's and a 4 that was the biggest. Anyway, caught a nice one on a Senko and was so psyched I didn't even notice the huge leech hanging off it! My buddy was like,"check out that big leech" and I almost dropped the fish when I finally noticed it. Never seen one in the Chick, especially this big, and I've lived here all my life. I know that bass was glad to get caught so someone would get that thing off!
