Clarks Fork near Cody? - catfish77 - 06-28-2013 Has anyone ever camped/fished this area? If so, are there many places to camp and how is the fly fishing? Thanks [signature] Re: [catfish77] Clarks Fork near Cody? - riverdog - 06-30-2013 I've been a few times. Stayed in cabin once and camped the others. I think some areas may require a hard sided camper because of grizzlies. I've never stayed in a tent. The river is divided into 3 sections; upper, middle and lower. All fish well but totally different characteristics. Tim Wade's North Fork Anglers website as well as shop in Cody will give you a good run down on all 3 sections plus other nearby rivers. I think the upper section is prettier than any thing in Yellowstone NP. If you have a camper I'd suggest moving along camping and fishing all 3 sections. Middle section is some work to reach. The water needs come down to safely fish as well. [signature] |
