Got new swivel shot hooks gonna try out [signature] Re: [nachocheese1414] First time - wolfs4evr - 07-28-2013 I've got/used the VMC and Gama swivel drop shot hooks. I don't use 'em any more. They do reduce line twist to some extent but land a decent fish or anything in a net and what a nightmare of places for line to wrap around and get all tangled up. Sometimes I have to cut all up and start over on the rig. Lots of knots and different lines to deal with, etc. PITA and a consumption of time. The old tried and true way of rigging a drop shot works much more efficient time consumption wise IMO. Those VMC's are sharp suckers though. Hardly ever lost a fish on 'em. I am back to using a traditional DS set-up using Trokar hooks and enjoying it much more. Awesome hook-up ratio, and virtually no line twist. Aside from having to tie the extra leader, I like them a lot.
