So i am very excited for the elk hunt this year.
I bought me my first Rifle today.
it is a Browning X-Bolt 30-06 very beautiful gun. i matched it up with a Vortex 4x12.
i liked the lifetime warranty on this scope.
there was this other scope that i was looking at. it had a warranty that only covered moving parts. but it also was a little better on the dusk and dawn..
I usually would use my dads 30-06. i figured it is about that time where i should get my own..
So i will be going back up to my usual spot. but this time i can get there the night before.
the last few years that i try to get to this spot there is usually another hunter asking me for help to pack out there Bull Elk.
so i help them. because i try to help every one.
i think that is my problem. i help to much to where i really don't get to hunt myself.
i think that is why i have never killed an Elk..
So this year i am going to focus on my own animal.
Maybe the Hunting Gods will reward me with a nice bull.
