Getting started fishing in MD - Pat_smith1969 - 10-31-2013
Hello all,
I grew up in Minnesota and like everyone there I fished, hunted, did other outdoor stuff. I moved to Maryland 15 years ago and thought my fishing life was over. Now I have a 6 yo boy and would REALLY like to teach him. The problem is that I have no IDEA how to start learning to fish in MD.
I have looked up what fish are in these waters and have a rudimentary understanding on how to fish for each. What I don't know is where to fish for them. I am hoping to find some spots to catch some fish, spots that are easy for a 6yo to fish from and not over crowded. I was thinking of maybe along the Susquehana but am open to almost any other place in MD.
Where do I get started?
