Tibble fork - jmetalone66 - 01-08-2014 Im looking for a recent ice report from Tibble Fork. I want to take my brother up there and get him hooked on ice fishing. Any info would be great, thanks [signature] Re: [jmetalone66] Tibble fork - Mac03 - 01-08-2014 Last I heard about 2 weeks ago, there was still a lot of open water and the only place you could get on the ice was around the other side of the lake from the parking lot. Didn't catch anything bigger then 12" but there's days you can get into some 14-16" out of there. My personal best fish out of that lake was a 19" rainbow on ice off in my float tube with a fly rod. Seen big fish in there but they are rare too catch form how much pressure that place get's and how much they stock it. Use small jigs 1/32-1/16oz. Ratfinkies, paddle bugs, cast master, ect tip it with meal worms or night crawler. [signature] Re: [Flyfishinglover] Tibble fork - jmetalone66 - 01-09-2014 Thanks for the info. Hopefully I can post a pic of one of those 19" bows after Saturdays trip. I'm guessing they keep the roads pretty well maintained? I really dont care about the size of the fish on this trip anyway. I just really want to get my brother hooked and excited about our FL trip next weekend. Should be a good time. Thnaks again [signature] Re: [jmetalone66] Tibble fork - Flyfishinglover - 01-09-2014 No problem but I highly doubt it that you will hook in a 19" anytime soon. I fished there for 6 years and that was my very first moster out of there. Other then that they are mostly 9-12" with a few 13-15". Yes the road get maintained from the bottom all the way up to tibble fork then they close the gate pass to pitsburg and silver lake flats. As well the gate to sundance up there is closed as well.
