Rockport or East Canyon? - happybob91 - 04-01-2014
I get a day off this coming Friday, and am planning on hitting the tube and taking my fly and spinning rod to either of these reservoirs. Out of curiosity, which one do you guys think would be better. Last I heard and read East Canyon was on fire, but I also heard Rockport is doing good too (I'm relying on the DWR's fishing reports) has anyone been to either of these in the last few days?

they have been fishing about the same. if you want only rainbows go to east, but if you want a chance for a brown or something I would go to Rockport

This is actually a good time of the year to get some browns from the Rock. I'm holding off until these weather systems clear out for a few days of warmth. [fishin]

Ah yeah, i caught about 7 browns at Rp this year on the ice, nothing huge but definitely the most ive caught in an ice season there.
Gotta be some bigguns from the river in there.
