Fished flooded timber in one spot from 12:15 - 3:30 today. Water temperature 61-63 - windy. Bite was good until 1:30 and then shut off. BG Outlaw Special Scent Wigglr's...Electric Chicken...Cajun Cricket...Gumdrop Slab Slayers on 1/32 oz. jigs caught fish in 3 - 12 feet of water. We were looking for big crappie ( who isn't ? ) but mostly ran into some males. A very good ratio though of 17 keepers of our 19 crappie caught. All were released. The early bird catches the worm and we were just a little too late today. A couple of crappie that dressed up for the party.
