If anyone is interested, NPS has 3 Avid rods with tubes for sale right now, a 7' 2 wt. a 9' 6 wt and I think a 5 wt. these are $260 rods for about $160, just sayin.

Do you have any experience with the avid? I picked up a legend elite today at Als in logan, and it felt great. I need to bring my reel by the store and try a few casts...

No, I have the Legend Elite, used to have the Ultra, had a Rio Santo, have heard good things about the Avid though.

How do you like the legend elite? I'm seriously thinking about buying one in 9' 5wt. I've been fishing with a redington pursuit for a couple of years and I'm definitely ready to upgrade.

I love it, I have been fishing an Ultra or Elite for about 15 years now, last 3 or 4 with the Elite, although I did get a new Sage for Xmas so I have been fishing that quite a bit.
