water in lower part of trolling motor? - utahgolf - 05-27-2014

so my 45 lb thrust minn kota was acting up and quit working. took the prop off and the case behind it and that lower portion was full of water..... wondering if anyone has had this happen and if it's a fixable problem? the seals look in decent shape but I do bang the thing around in the rocks and just thinking something came loose. thanks for any info or advice.

Check the seal on the shaft !! Line will get wound on the shaft and cut into the seal, allowing water in. A common problem. Get in touch with SwedeR in Bountiful for service !!
