How to Fix a Silent Drag+Broken Bail Spring Tip~Spinning Reel Repair - Paulpro - 06-11-2014 I finally figured out how to fix a Silent Drag! You'll need #1 glue "The Amazing Goop" #2 a "Feeler Gauge" #3 a pair of "Metal Sheers" This is how to replace a broken metal clicker which normally clicks against the drag wheel inside a spinning reel,or any reel with an internal drag such as a bait runner for example. Carefully cut out a metal strip to the proper length, line it up with the drag clicker wheel until it looks right then glue it in. In the video I bent the metal strip at a 90 degree and glued the bent part against the back of the spool so it holds better, but you don't have to..It can just be straight .
