TR20bh, Chick; Sept CBA, LM Bass, 9/11/14 & 9/13/14, MocsTR20 - FishNews - 09-14-2014 Got out Wed PM & Thurs to practice for Sat. Thought we had a couple of areas that could be productive, so spent our time in places we hadn't fished in awhile. Had a few could bites punching mats & some on outside grass edges. Had a nice 7.3# fish on Wed as well as 3 other keepers. Thurs. caught a lot of small keepers & a 3.5# that morning & Brent punched up a pretty 5#er that afternoon. Decided to spend most of our time today on grass edges near deep water. Threw worms & shakeys & did better than we expected considering the fish are transitioning & a front was passing. Had a limit at 9:00 of about 14# & were able to upgrade throughout the morning with a 4, a 4.5 & a 5.5 by 11:30 to give us just over 20#. Bite got tougher for us after noon but managed to cull up twice for a few ounces to end up with 20.87#, good enough for 3rd place. Fun fishing day with my son. We caught well over 3 limits of keepers. We were really pleased to do that well on a day that a lot of really good fishermen had a tough day.
