What is your favorite fly line? - DKStroutfitter - 11-04-2014
I have used Cortland 444 for years. I recently tried Rio Gold.
Both are good lines but differ from each other.
Both are weight forward floating 5 wt lines.
I am still on the look out for a good all around line.
What are all of you using and liking?

Wow, I would say Gold is a Goldwing and the 444 is a Vespa. LOL Gold has a long taper that helps it lay down all size flies.
But, not one of my favorite at all.
My favorite and all my rods are loaded with it, Shark Skin GPX. Plus it last twice, maybe even three times as long as other lines. Tried Texture, not as good as SS.
