Does anyone have a ice condition report?? Or how much snow is up there?? Looking to go but wanna know what to expect if I need my snowmobile or 4 wheeler or if I can drive in still.. Any info would be great..

Fished there on Saturday (1/3). Road in was fine, packed snow so slick but not a problem. They keep the road in plowed so lake access shouldn't be a problem.
About 4 inches of snow on the ice. About 12 inches of ice where we were fishing.
Took my daughter on her first ice fishing trip. She had a great time. Caught lots of perch. No trout or kokes. Tried lots of bait combinations but a small piece of nightcrawler on a hook seemed to work best when fished just off the bottom.

Awesome thanks for the info. I haven't been since last year did you catch any perch with any size to them?? Once again thanks for your info on the ice and snow.. I will let you know how it turns out for me

Nothing caught over 6 to 7 inches. Seems as though there were not as many really small ones as two years ago,the last time I fished there.
We did our part to thin the population, taking a bunch home. Spent a lot of time filleting them and wondering if it was worth the effort. Then we ate them and yes, it was well worth it.
Sure hope they get some more size to them in the future.
