TNDOC, Chick, Crappie, 2/3/15, Solo - FishNews - 02-06-2015
Hit the water about noon out of wolftever, ran to the first spot, and as they say the early bird gets the worm... So I fished another dock a little ways down, only to watch the guys pull a few out. Went and hit a few more but nothing! Went and looked at some off shore points and found a big ball of bait fish with what looked like crappie around them but again nothing! Went in the creek and found some more bait and a big ball of crappie, I was excited since i found it with my electronics. I marked it, went back and down imaged it, and man it looked good! Got ready and made my first cast, thump! Yellow bass, next cast thump.... You guessed it, yellow bass. It is pretty neat seeing the fish on the sonar, just wished it was crappie. Went and fished a few blow downs but nothing but a monster drum which was fun on 4lbs test. <br /><br />Happy Fishing!
