Is that on the snake river? That second picture is not at Crane Creek Res.

You are right. It's all BS. Just trying to see if anyone is out there. I know somebody out there knows something about CC. Thanks for proving there are others out there.[Smile]

I haven't fished it this year at all. I did fish it last year but that was in August and I was not successful at all with Crappie or bass. I did troll for them a little but I was focusing on other fish [bobWink]

Finally made it over there on Friday. Fishing was very slow. We did get a few smallish crappie, a small zombie, and we snagged a few carp. There are carp everywhere. I'd imagine that the crappie fishing could be decent once the water warms up a bit more. No bass yet, but perhaps later in the season. Don't recall exact water temps, but it seems like it was around 52-53 degrees at the warmest.

This was in April a few years ago. The fish finder says 55 and a few fish on the screen. That was before I knew how to use a slip float.

We were there Friday also. We saw another boat head up to the other end of the res.. We shot carp, caught a perch, a bullhead and a channel. The crappie are there and active and chasing but not biting..

You must've been over by the dam when we got there?

Yeah. How was the other end of the reservoir? Was there an inlet? I fished it the Friday before last Friday also with no luck for crappies.

Re: [Squarehog] Crane creek? - Duck-Slayer - 03-24-2015

it was pretty slow, couple of tiny crappies.... a ton of carp, I forgot my bows or else that's what we would have been doing is shooting all those carp, so there's perch in there, sweet.... there is a small stream on the other end,

Yeah. A lot of carp and. I was kind of surprised how active they allready are in there. There are some good sized ones too.. I shot my biggest yet in there 10 days ago..
