Thanks J [signature] Re: [SkunkedAgain] For you Catfish fans - SkunkedAgain - 02-25-2015 Ok I'll answer my own question. A stone is equal to 14 lbs. that was a big fish. 19 stone = 266 lbs. I'm still looking for my 1 stone cat for our contest. Don't know about Italy, but since it was reported in the Daily News in the UK, maybe the Italians do same as the Brits. The Brits consider Carp a Competition fish similar to Bass or Walleye, or maybe even Catfish here. I have a photo of my teenage grandson holding a quite large Carp a couple years ago. Don't know if it was in a Competition or not, but he had a from ear to ear. Guess someday gonna have to get him back here to the US and take him up to upper Bear River and let him hook into a couple of those. Contest opens this weekend. You pull one in that size I'll have to work hard to beat it. Good luck. J [signature] |
