Received a nice correction from Fish and Game. Most interesting is that there are no limits on Chinook, although they do suggest a limit of 6. Here is the response:

I wanted to apologize for the incorrect information I provided to you regarding your question about Chinook in Anderson Ranch Reservoir. The correct information is a follows:
The Chinook were stocked to take advantage of a large kokanee population as well as to reestablish a fishing opportunity once found in Anderson Ranch Reservoir.
We understand there is confusion regarding the current Chinook rules on Anderson Ranch Reservoir. The reason they are not addressed in the rules is that the recent stocking event occurred during the current 3-year rules cycle – which was published prior to the stocking event. Legally, Chinook fall under “other fish species” which do not have length, daily bag, or possession limits. Our hope is that folks would consider reasonable harvest – suggesting they consider Chinook as part of the general trout limit at Anderson Ranch Reservoir.
It is our intent to address Chinook harvest rules during this rule cycle. We have brought it up under the current rule scoping process and are reviewing public comments. Ultimately, Chinook fishing rules will be established [#222222]Jan 1, 2016[/#222222] following Commission approval.
Again, I am sorry if the incorrect information caused any inconvenience.

I agree. With the number they stocked, and the water situation in Andersen Ranch, I would be surprised if there are 3500 of them left in the lake at this point.

Mike, Anderson Ranch was drawn down pretty low last fall. A lot of fish got flushed through the dam. I would not be surprised if they start showing up in Arrowrock catch reports. Due to the last couple of years draw down in Arrowrock, the Kokes should be bigger than normal, which is a VERY good thing!

I would guess the best time too try is when there trying too go up river and spawn? like the normal run from the ocean? wouldn't mind getting a couple for the smoker,
