report of electric drill adapter - DanielJRioux - 01-11-2004 I used the adapter today for the first time and it worked great. It is very well made and fit like a glove into my auger. I was using an old Snap on 14.4 volt drill and it only lasted two holes. I think the reason being is because the battery has been used hard and hung up wet so I believe it will work a lot bettter with a new battery or an 18 volt drill. I think an 18 volt would do better, and like I said mine has been used hard and I knew the battery was going south before I tried it. Back to Snap on for a new battery. The ice was about 5-6 inches thick and I was down at Rockport. The first hole was relatively fast and it died on the second hole due to my faulty battery. I would imagine with a newer battery, and a even more powerful drill, it should last a half dozen hole then!!!! Does anyone have a ac converter that you could use your truck battery to provide a/c for a corded drill? They are supposed to be better than most batteries that come with the original product, and much cheaper Since snap-on tools, Dewalt and many others charge so much for the name and warranty, these imports are a pretty good deal.
