Blue76, Chick, LM, 7/18, Emily - FishNews - 07-22-2015 The struggle continues. I can't seem to get anything going lately. Almost got shut out last week and didn't do much better today. We launched around 7 this morning and loaded up around 11am. Only managed 7 fish with one of those being a 6lb drum. <br /><br />I don't think we had 5 that would keep. None of them over 2.5 lbs. all but the drum came from one spot of scattered grass over a big flat. They were chasing bait all around us for an hour or so. Em caught all hers on a spinnerbait and I caught everything on a... Believe it or not. A deeper diver jerkbait that suspends. Almost every fish came from cranking that thing down about 5 feet and letting it sit suspended for a few seconds. <br /><br />Never got a sniff on a worm, cranks, swim bait, jigs and even tried top water early. <br /><br />Gonna head down to guntersville next week and just try new water. Maybe new scenery will help. <br /><br />Greg
