Strawberry TAG Fish - lindonFishermen - 08-19-2015
Hello...
I have been fishing 3 yrs at the berry and never seen or hear of any one catching tagged fish. Has any one in this group caught one? if so, what areas are best chance to hook one?

I don't know about actually on BFT, but there has been a few posted on the "northern Utah hunting & fishing" Facebook page that has a few of the BFT members on it also. that have managed to catch a few.
Id like to catch some but not a very big fan of fishing strawberry

I have a friend that picked one up 2 years ago & received a dutch oven. He caught the tagged fish in the meadows. I suspect your best chances of getting a tagged fish is to fish areas that contain a lot of rainbows. I have always caught a lot of rainbows in the meadows and on the Soldier Creek side. There may be other places!
In years past, I have generally not targeted the rainbows until the reservoir freezes.

There was someone on the Utah Fishing Report Facebook page that caught two tagged fish a couple weeks apart earlier this year. I believe he was fishing the Ladders area. I saw a guy catch one also at the Ladders last fall on the last weekend of the contest.

DuckDog1us has caught at least 2 of the tagged fish. He is a strawberry fishing god though...it might be harder for us mere mortals.[
