Ice fishing at 50 - fishnate - 02-16-2016
Went out ice fishing Presidents Day morning on Steinaker. Temps started out at about 29 degrees at 8:30 a.m. and by noon was at 50. I can't remember ever ice fishing on 17" of ice when it was 50 degrees. Ice won't last long with those temps! Forecast for the Basin is for more temps in the mid 40's this week. Ice at Starvation, Pelican and the Gorge could be in jeopardy real soon. Get out there while you still can.

[#0000FF]I was in Arizona all last week. Temps up to 90 degrees. I brought some back in plastic bags but the local temperature inversion and remaining snow chilled it down a bit.
A big 'SORRY' to the ice anglers. Any of you guys who have been whining for spring can show proper appreciation.
