bass - ridcbr - 05-04-2016 Does anybody have any information on Massacre rocks or Gifford Springs on how to find the bass or what's the best baits to try or where I should be fishing the rocks or the sand the weeds any help would be great? [signature] Re: [ridcbr] bass - Belasko - 05-05-2016 Never fished that area but when targeting bass I always work structure. Rocky shorelines, big boulders in the water, rocky shelves, seams and the slower water. As far as grass I usually don't do well unless one of those other features is also present. Overhanging trees can be good as well. Good luck [signature] Re: [ridcbr] bass - windriver - 05-05-2016 I look for steep drop offs and underwater ledges. Sometimes they feeding on the top of the ledge and sometimes I catch them as my tube jig falls off the ledge. I don't do well on the big flats or in the grass. Windriver [signature] Re: [ridcbr] bass - mattdog231155 - 05-05-2016 I fished Gifford Springs about 3 weeks ago using just a jig with a white worm and caught two just over 17 inches, but because I kept getting snagged I gave up. I was fishing from the bank. As I think about it now I probably could have caught them on a spinner also, but because they are so expensive I feared losing some so I didn't try with them. When I was there bass and trout were raising everywhere. [signature] Re: [ridcbr] bass - ridcbr - 05-06-2016 Thanks for the help [signature] |
