I launched the float tube from Juniper point this morning. I forgot my fish finder, so I am not sure of temp or depth but would guess the temp in the low 50s. Starting working the soft curly tail jigs slowly on the bottom. Caught one eye that way. The next eye I got smacked the jig hard, so I increased my speed and caught another on the very next cast. Three eyes in the basket. Caught a surprise smallmouth and a slimy fish too. Fished for three hours. I was within casting distance from shore, just near the drop off. All three eyes were males that did not express milt. So it might be post spawn time. The eyes went home for dinner, bass and rainbow released to fight another day.
