Carp on the fly - ru22dizzle - 05-20-2016 Hey all. Just curious if anyone is willing to share some tips and favorite fly patterns for catching carp on a fly? I'm gonna go out and do some carpin' and have a pretty good idea on what I'm doing, but having never done it, I thought I'd see if someone would be kind enough to impart some knowledge. Glo Bug 3. Bactrian worm - basically a San Juan with 2 humps tied on the top. I am addicted to the tug. I use several flies, with one called the Dog Biscuit I introduced a few years ago. Many people have made their own rendition of it. Great dry fly if they are rising, but don't leave out Trout flies. They work too, you just have to place it in the right spot at the right time. I even fish Chironomids for them.
