Strawberry Monday and Tuesday - liketrolling - 06-29-2016 the wife and I fished Strawberry Mon. getting kokes was the worst day I have had up there this year but we got a lot of cuts and about 4 bows we were wishing we had some grand kids with us She had fun reeling in the cuts I checked the water temp and down 30' the temp was about 52 deg. that is what the kokes like. Tue.; took a guy and his 9 year old grand son we were letting him reel in the fish so missed a lot of kokes. when we had enough kokes in the boat we moved and fished for cuts and we got a lot was using one lead core line out 6 colors (that is a long way out) but it was getting some big cuts. was using worms on the spinner collection and hooked one koke lucky he got of just before we got him to the boat so in two days we got over 100 cuts in the boat we were using TRUE BLUE TROLLING TACKLE's Spinner Collection and 4 3/8" Trolling Blade's he is Advertising on the Utah Premium Member board so I think this link is OK. https://true-blue-trolling-tackle-llc.myshopify.com/ [signature] Re: [liketrolling] Strawberry Monday and Tuesday - OCF - 06-29-2016 Hey Robert, I was the one that hollered at you Tuesday a.m. in the lund. We had a very good a.m. as well. We had boated 20 fish (2 limits of Kokes) by 9:00 a.m. We then switch over to trout gear and picked up another 5 - getting off the water around 10:30 a.m. Ended the day with 25 fish - we would of had a lot more if we would have left the koke gear on. These 8 fish were the best kokes we have caught this season. Nothing less than 2 lbs; however, the biggest was 18.75-inches and 2 lbs 5 oz. Pink colored plankton squids & pink/purple dodgers worked the best for us fished 30 - 35 feet deep. See attached photo. I would tip this squid with a chartreuse maggot. Now give me the true skinny - does that 360 fish finder help you any with finding the fish? I would hate to spend that much money just for another decoration on the back of my boat. I was hoping you were at the marina when we went back in to look at your set up - maybe next time. If I can live a long time and the 360 does not break it may be worth it. I'm 72 so hope my grand kids will take me. I was hoping to find a big school and stop and jig, we saw some but did not stop I was afraid or stacked lines would tangle. If I see the schools in front I can turn into them. but if you don't have the right set up you cant catch them any way. Maybe next time I go I will not stack the riggers then stop and start jigging. are have 3 of us in the boat to get the lines up. [signature] |
