I will be taking some kids fishing at Matt Warner as part of the festivities for a family reunion....any advice on what to use?

I can't give you any first hand info but the last member that posted about that lake last month, used a worm and marshmallow.

I haven't been there recently (too many other great places in the Basin to fish right now), but from shore we usually do well with basic powerbait, floating worms are good and Jakes and spinners -- successful colors vary. With a boat wooly buggers can be drifted and Rapala's and spoons can be trolled with good success.

If you are able to get out on the water, drift a large #10-12 Bead Head Hares Ear...they LOVE those at Warner!
