Island Park - THorne - 08-30-2016
Hey guys,
I am headed to Island Park this weekend and have never been up here to fish. I was curious if any of you would be willing to share some spots or areas up here.
We will be staying near Philip's Lodge. But we will drive all over to fish and explore.
Any hints or spots you guys have for this area would be a great help.

Well normally henrys.....but its got an Algae bloom and has fished the worst this summer it has in years.
If you like float tubes the dam area of IP res is fishing good as the res is almost drained.
Always the North Fork, Box Canyon area, personally right now that's probably the best or maybe the ranch.

I'd probably fish big hopper imitations on the ranch, or two-nymph rigs at Box Canyon. Maybe try some hopper/dropper combinations. Have a look at some local reports. I frequent Jimmy's when I'm in the area.
