4 trips out fishing from noon till 5, nailed appx 85 largemouth and 2 whites. About 20 keepers so, thats a 5 fish keeper average. Nothing over 4 lbs except for a giant fish that just took off stripping line. I presume either a big cat or a state record largie, lol. All but a few fish came from backs of slough's where I was able to graph lots of bait and see them being schooled upon. Sometimes bass by the dozens tearing into them. I mean- you could be there at 3 o' clock and no sign of life. Go back there at 4- Game on- A bass almost every cast. Out of 4 trips, I had 2 bad days with 7-9 small fish. Lures; 1/4 oz Rattle traps, beetle spin swimbait, (safty pin type colorado blade over spin, with a 1/4 oz Arkie lead head and a 4" swimbait),,, 3/8 and 1/2 oz spinnerbait. Last trip out was slow and was a grind with only 7 fish but had 4 keepers. Seems like ya need the sun and only a light breeze.
