Mike and I reversed our starting number from last CFF. We were boat 1, this one # 20. Ran to our first spot, had a limit of spots by 7:30, culled by 8:00. No size, but it was fish in the box, all on a jig and trailer. The boat was in 25 fow, pitching toward the bank. Went to our second place. Caught a slightly short largie in a Zoom U tail worm, threw it back to the lake. Worked a flat, Mike gets a largemouth, cull another spot. Fish was in 4-5 fow, on a Senko. Several more hits and misses, and Mike needs to leave for a first communion celebration.
Drop him at the dock, back to the area of our upgrade. A couple more shorts, and a nice catfish, on a worm. Moved to another area, catch another spot, on a Zoom worm, and upgrade by ounces. Work a few more areas, and headed to weigh in. 3 for 4.61#. Water was low to mid 60's, and fished with in sight of the dam most of the day.
Congrats to the winners, 15#+, and big largemouth , 9+. Thanks to the committee for another well run event. Finally a day without wind or rain, what's up with this ?????????
