Steelhead
#1
Just a quick question, what is the difference in steelhead and rainbow trout? Is it that just that the steelhead live part of their life in the ocean and in the rivers? Or is is something else? I found this link which shows that the two trout both have the same scientific name http://mygippydog.tripod.com/species.html

A steelhead is basically just a strain of large rainbow trout that has migratory instincts. As far as the physical difference, I don't think that there is a whole lot besides some slight variations in color tint

Good luck catching the steelhead, hopefully you can land some other salmon fishes while you are at it.
